A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.

The Russian, a former number one, has endured a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.

His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.

Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.

It is Medvedev's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court from spring of the previous year.

The win also means he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.

The player's counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had led some to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.

But the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and compete positively, backed up by an enhanced service.

The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.

The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first professional victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.

He rescued 4 early chances in a close deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Appropriately, the winner secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after a lengthy match.
