I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
